The Rockport Public Library will be the drop-off site for a food drive in partnership with Camden Area Christian Food Pantry (CACFP). From Thursday, Nov. 6 through 24, the public is encouraged to bring items to the library for a special “Baking Ingredients” drive.

“With the holiday season coming up, it would be a welcome treat to offer baking supplies such as sugar, brown sugar, powdered sugar, flour, molasses, vanilla, spices, baking powder, baking soda, vegetable oil, or Crisco,” says CACFP president Debra Milliken. “These are items people may not be able to purchase regularly. These extras bring smiles to faces.”

The Rockport Library is located at 1 Limerock St. in Rockport. Donations can be accepted in their lobby Monday-Saturday during regular operating hours.

CACFP serves the communities of Appleton, Camden, Hope, Islesboro, Lincolnville, Rockport, Searsmont, Union, Washington - and others in need.
